The labels
- Verified
- The editor checked the offer, marked it as working, and recorded the date. The label is shown only while that date is within the last 90 days.
- Older check
- The offer was verified, but more than 90 days ago. It may still work. The date of that check is shown.
- Reviewed
- The listing details were looked over on the date shown, but the code was not confirmed at a checkout.
- Not recently checked
- The offer was marked as checked at some point, but no date was recorded, so we do not present it as verified.
- Not yet checked
- The offer is listed as it was found. We have not tested it. Most offers on the site currently carry this label.
- Expired
- The offer's end date has passed. It is kept at the bottom of the page for reference and its code is hidden.
What a check involves
When an offer is checked, the editor looks at the code or deal, where the link leads, the stated discount and the conditions that come with it, and where practical tries it at the store's checkout. The date recorded is the date of that check. We never back-date checks or add dates that were not recorded.
What a label cannot promise
Even a verified code can stop working the next day. Stores change or withdraw promotions without notice, and many codes depend on your basket, your account or your location. Always confirm the discount at checkout before paying.
Expired and failing offers
Offers with an end date move to the expired list automatically once that date passes. Offers without an end date stay listed until they are switched off. When a visitor reports a failing code through the contact page, the editor reviews it and updates the label, edits the details, or switches the offer off.
